Who Gives A Crap was founded in Australia in 2012 by Simon Griffiths and friends, launching with a crowdfunding campaign he hosted while sitting on a toilet until it funded.

The company says it exists to fund clean water and sanitation, donating half of profits to hygiene projects worldwide.

It sells toilet paper made from recycled paper or bamboo, plus paper towels and tissues, shipped plastic-free by subscription.
