The Nature Conservancy
nature.org
The Nature Conservancy began in 1951 with a simple, radical tactic: buy the land to save it. Seven decades later it is one of the largest conservation organizations on earth, protecting over 125 million acres across more than 70 countries through acquisition, easements, Indigenous partnerships, and debt-for-nature deals. Its science staff make it as much research institution as land trust. It anchors the conservation wing of our non-profits collection.
