The Food Project
thefoodproject.org
The Food Project has been pairing teenagers and agriculture in Massachusetts since 1991, employing dozens of young people each season to farm about 70 acres of urban and suburban land around Greater Boston and the North Shore. The harvest flows to farmers markets, community-supported agriculture shares, and hunger-relief partners, while the crews learn to lead. Food, youth, community is the actual operating model, not a slogan. It is the food-justice and urban-farming entry in our non-profits collection.
