Seabin

Seabin started when Australian boat-builders Pete Ceglinski and Andrew Turton asked why harbors did not have trash bins in the water, and answered with a floating bin that filters litter and microplastics as water flows through. Thousands of Seabins now run in marinas worldwide, and the Smart Cities program in Sydney Harbour pairs collection with ocean-health data gathering. The Seabin Foundation turns what the bins catch into education and science. It is the harbor-scale cleanup entry in our collection.
