ReClaim It was founded in Portland in 2014 by the nonprofit Cracked Pots, with volunteers pulling salvageable materials directly from the Metro Central transfer station, one step before landfill. The gleaned doors, lumber, tools, and treasures are resold cheaply for reuse, repair, and reimagining. It is waste diversion at its most literal: standing at the dump, taking things back. It represents the salvage end of our creative-reuse group.
