Ocean Conservancy has worked on ocean policy from Washington, DC since 1972, pairing science with advocacy on plastic pollution, sustainable fisheries, and Arctic protection. It created the International Coastal Cleanup, which has mobilized millions of volunteers to remove and, crucially, catalog hundreds of millions of pounds of beach trash, building the world's largest marine-debris dataset. That data now shapes plastic policy worldwide. It is the ocean-policy veteran of our non-profits collection.
