Nicole McLaughlin
@nicolemclaughlin
Nicole McLaughlin started making absurd, brilliant objects from waste while working at Reebok, posting slides made from mousepads and vests made from snack wrappers until the internet noticed. She has since become the best-known face of upcycled design, collaborating with major brands to remake their own scraps and co-founding initiatives that teach young designers to work from the waste stream. Her feed reads like a running argument that everything is material. She is the gateway artist of our upcycling collection: once you see her work, discarded stuff never looks finished.
