Mandy Barker

Mandy Barker is a British photographer from Hull who walks shorelines collecting marine plastic, then composes it into images so beautiful they get mistaken for deep-sea biology. She works with scientists on expeditions, including sailing through the Pacific gyre, and every image caption lists exactly what was recovered and where. Series like SOUP and Beyond Drifting have run in over 50 countries and made her one of the most awarded environmental photographers working. She is the photography voice in our artists collection, making ocean plastic impossible to unsee.
