Aurora Robson

Aurora Robson is a Toronto-born, New York-based sculptor who has spent two decades intercepting plastic debris and transforming it into luminous, organic sculptures that hang in museums and public spaces. Recurring childhood nightmares gave her the swirling forms; the material came later, when she recognized the same shapes in plastic waste. Beyond her studio practice she founded Project Vortex and teaches Sculpture + Intercepting the Waste Stream, pushing a generation of artists to treat pollution as raw material. She is the fine-art anchor of our small-artists collection.
