Leah Thomas is the environmentalist and author who coined the term intersectional environmentalism in a 2020 post that traveled around the world, insisting that climate work must protect people and planet together. She founded the nonprofit Intersectional Environmentalist to turn that idea into resources, curricula, and community, and wrote the 2022 book of the same name.
