Ridwell

Ridwell was founded in Seattle in 2018 by Ryan Metzger and his young son Owen, whose father-son errand runs recycling neighbors' dead batteries turned into a company. Members get a porch bin and rotating category bags, and Ridwell picks up the stuff curbside recycling refuses: plastic film, batteries, lightbulbs, clothes, and featured one-offs, routing each to vetted partners and publishing where materials go. It now serves cities across a dozen-plus states. It is the subscription-pickup pillar of our services collection.
